INTRODUCTION
There are two variations of this game:
1. Regular Baseball
2. Grand Slam Baseball (Only G/S Homers Score Points)

Select which game you wish to play then select from menue:
1. One Player (Home)
2. One Player (Away)
3. Two Players

Plug the joystick in port 2 for either version of the game.
For the 2 player version:
Joystick port 1 : Visiting team
Joystick port 2 : Away team

Batting order:
A screen will appear with a set batting order and player ratings. Each player can change an ypart of his order by typing in the changes on the keyboard using the return and cursor arrows to move around the screen. The baseball players ratings can be from 1 to 3, with 3 being the best and 1 being the lowest rating.

A designated hitter can be used by simply giving all 9 players good hitting ratings and not listing the pitcher in the batting order.

Each pitcher can throw 4 pitches selected from a list of different type pitches.

Before a pitch during the game a player may press [S] on the keyboard to return to this screen and make up to 15 substitutions during the game. During the game any type of change on this screen is counted as a substitution. With the exception of changing a players defensive position.

Caution
To exit this screen each team must have a player at each position.

Pitcher - (P)
Catcher - (C)
1st Base - (1B)
2nd Base - (2B)
3rd Base - (3B)
Short Stop (SS)
Left Field (LF)
Center Field - (CF)
Right Field - (RF)
Design Hitter - (DH)

Designated hitter is optionally used in place of pitcher.
Tip: For a simple gameleave this screen as is.

Game Play: The Field scoreboard keeps track of the following: Teams/Runs/Hits/Errors/Innings/Balls/Batter/Strike Outs

The winner of the game is the team that has scored the most runs at the end of the game.

The following is the positions for the joystick controls. Pitching:
[UP/DOWN] - Pitch 1 [LEFT] - Pitch 2 [RIGHT] - Pitch 3

Select the pitch based on the pitchers original selected pitchers. Hold the joystick in the indicated position and press the fire button to select the pitch.

If you want to go back to the full play field without throwing a pitch, press the fire button without making a selection. (This may be used if a runner is stealing a base or to hold runners close to a base).

Select the area of home plate you want to pitch to. The ball may not end up there becouse the pitcher is a real pitcher and may become tired, etc. Joystick Positions

Hold the joystick on the chosen position and press the firebutton to pitch.

Hitting:

Hold the joystick in the area you want to swing, press the fire button to swing. To bunt, swing while the pitcher is in his motion. Caution: Do not move the joystick recklessly before the pitch. You may set your runner.
