INSTRUCTIONS How about a game of two-on-two volleyball? What's that you say? It's rainin g outside? You have a trick knee? Your dog ate your sneakers? None of these excu ses wash with Volleybound, because all you need to play is a joystick. Your C-64 supplies the rest. As in real volleyball, the object of Volleybound is to keep the ball in the air on your side of the net, and make it hit the floor on your opponent's side of the net. You can play against either the computer or a friend. With a joystic k plugged into port 2, select the number of players. Pull back on the joystick t o increase the number, push forward to decrease the number, and press the fire b utton to make your selection. When playing against the computer, you must also s elect a difficulty level from one, the easiest, to three. The yellow team is controlled by a joystick in port 2, the green team by th e computer or a joystick in port 1. The two players on a team move in unison. As the game starts, one team is randomly chosen to serve first. When your t eam is serving, move the players so one is under the ball and press the fire but ton. During a volley, hit the ball by moving one of your players underneath. If the ball is too high, press the fire button and your players will jump and inter cept it. You win a point when you have the serve and your opponent lets the ball hit the floor. You win the serve when your opponent serves and lets the ball hit th e floor. The rules of Volleybound differ slightly from those of real volleyball. Her e, a team can hit the ball any number of times before sending it over the net. A lso, the ball can't go out of bounds; it bounces off the walls and ceiling inste ad. The first player to score 15 points wins. Press the fire button on joystick 2 to play again. To freeze play, press the Commodore key. To continue, press it again. The r un-stop key exits to Basic. The next time it's raining . . . or you can't find your shoes, serve up Vol leybound!
